Where are you located?

The Eat Shop has two locations! Our flagship bakery is located at 120 W Main Street, Unit 1, in Solon, Iowa. Our second location is on campus at the University of Iowa College of Law, located at 130 Byington Rd, Iowa City, IA 52242.

Do you have indoor seating?

We offer indoor seating at our UI College of Law location. At our Solon location, we do not have indoor seating, but do offer an abundance of outdoor seating available during the summer months.

When should I place an order?

If you have a serious craving that must be satisfied, or are planning to buy half a dozen or more of something, please call ahead to ensure we can fulfill you needs.

You can place an order online, via email or phone call. If your order is urgent (needed within 24 hours) or requires special attention, please call (319) 624-2014.

Do you offer curbside pickup?

YES! We offer curbside pickup in Solon and at the UI College of Law! Just call head to set up curbside pickup and we will bring it out to you once you arrive.

Do you deliver?

YES! We now deliver! Our delivery area includes Cedar Rapids, Coralville, Hiawatha, Iowa City, Marion, Mt. Vernon, North Liberty, Robins, Solon and Tiffin. Local delivery in Solon is free of charge. A flat delivery fee of $15 will be applied to locations outside of Solon.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Cash, check, ApplePay and all major credit cards including American Express.

How quickly can I get cookies?

We can typically get our cookies to you within 24 hours of order placement.

How quickly can I get pastries?

Depending on the quantity, we can typically get pastries to you within 24 hours of order placement.

Can I customize my Cookie Cake?

Frosting color schemes and a specific message can be requested on the Cookie Cake. Unfortunately, no images, drawings or characters can be added to your Cookie Cake.

Can I refrigerate my baked pastries?

No, refrigeration will dry them out. We specialize in hand-crafted baked goods, made entirely from scratch. Our products are made without preservatives and should be enjoyed on the day received. If you plan on storing them overnight, tightly wrap the box in plastic wrap and leave at room temperature.

I have food allergies. Does The Eat Shop make anything wheat/dairy/nut free?

We do not bake in an allergen-free environment. While we do have select products that do not contain wheat or nuts, all of our products are baked in an environment where wheat, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs and soy may be present. Due to the presence of these allergens at our baking facility, we do not recommend consuming any of our desserts if you are allergic to wheat, nuts, dairy or eggs.

Do you have gluten-free items?

While we do have select products that do not contain wheat, all of our products are baked in an environment where wheat, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs and soy may be present.

Do you have vegan items?

No, we do not currently offer any vegan items.

Do you have sugar-free items?

No, we do not currently offer any sugar-free items.

Do you ship any products?

No, at this time we are not shipping.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes. Please stop into the bakery to purchase a gift card.
